FAQ
-
Where are the skis made? All EVI, Prog and Repressed skis are made in an old barn in a small village called Lønset, just west of Oppdal in the middle of Norway.
-
How long time does it take to produce and send my skis?Production time and shipping will vary a bit depending on season and product. Some times we will have to wait for a while to get the correct bindings or other accessories for your skis. Usually we deliver skis in a couple of weeks after payment in the snow season and up to a couple of months out of season unless there is a special occation. Please let us know upon ordering skis if you need them for a trip or present with a deadline, and we ill do our best to get the skis to you in time.

If my EVI skis are totally destroyed, can you repair them?Yes we probably can! If all the parts of the old ski is still together in one piece there is a lot we can do to reconstruct the skis . We can even use feedback from the previous owner to improve them further. Check out the Repressed skis section for more.

Where does the wood come from?Generally wood comes from the forest. If you can not see wood in the forest it is because it is covered in bark. We get our wood from different sources, some wood species like Aspen we can take down ourselves locally.

Do you make carbon skis or wood skis?Short answer: Both! Long answer: There is no dichotomy between wood or carbon, the wood is used as the core material and carbon is a substitute for the (mostly) fibreglass that is surrounding the wood core, drenched in resin. The misconseption probably comes from the fact that fibreglass is transparent, so the skis will naturally look more "woody" as a result, the core is wisible through both top sheet and reinforcement layer. Carbon fibre on the other hand is always black and needs extra coating to make the graphics practically visible. The sidewalls on all our skis are however allways exposed hard wood.
