NOCKERS
In 2014 we launched the concept of nockers on skis. these were 200 gram mass objects you could screw in to pre installed M6 inserts at the rocker transition area of the skis. The Nockers have been refined since the first version and the nocker2 kit is as set of 4 150 gram nockers from lead and rubber that is more slick on the ski surface and is secured with a tool.
The Nockers dampen vibrations and make the skis more stable, especially on hard surfaces. The position of the nocker inserts are at the ends of the skis contact area with the snow surface.
The effect is most comparable to putting a finger on a guitar string. By pinching the ski between the ground and a mass object you isolate the free mass of the rockered part of the ski, and the chatter is reduced considerably. The effect is larger the lighter the ski construction is.
