REPRESSED SKIS
Whenever EVI and Prog skis are worn out or damaged beyond repair we can take them back to be repressed. Even broken skis can be repressed to new skis- with new fiber, base, edge and graphic layer.
When a ski is recieved for repressing we make a decision about what to make of them based on how much wear and what general state the skis are in. Most skis only need single sided repressing and will get a new top sheet and a deep repair of edges and base before fresh grind. This is a 5000NOK procedure.
In the most severe cases we reconstruct the whole ski, repairing the core, reshaping and making new base and edge before layup in the press. This will turn out as a completely new and often different ski, but the old core assembly will still be holding the parts together- and the old serial number will be on the sidewall accompanied by a double spiraled G. A two sided repressing cost 7000NOK. If you want a new ski we will give 3000NOK discount for a repressable ski in return. If you want refund in cash we pay 1000NOK for any repressable pair of skis.
EVI is still the only ski brand wo does this. EVI are the first three letters in the word EVIG, meening ETERNAL. This is the reason we use the G as the main logo for all repressed skis.
